So for quite some time now juicing and smoothies have been the new trend. Green smoothies, protein smoothies, you name it. I love a good juiced smoothie in the morning to start my day. I drink one for breakfast at least 4 times a week. Here is a recipe for a yogurt berry smoothie.
Also, before I post the recipe, another one that I make very often is a kale, banana, and strawberry smoothie.
- 1 cup kale
- 1 sliced banana
- a handful of strawberries
- a splash of water
- ¾ cup fresh blueberries
- ¾ cup fresh blackberries
- 5.3 ounce package plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1 whole banana
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
- Pulse for 30 seconds, stir and pulse for an additional 30 seconds.
- Pour into two glasses and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve
So my friends always come to me for suggestions on a new binge-worthy show to watch. I have already talked about Entourage and Shameless, so you know about those two already. But since procrastinating important things, and watching shows in bed seems to be more important to all of us, I am giving you a list of suggestions!
- Desperate Housewives! ( I could watch this show from beginning to end 100 times over)
- Friday Night Lights (Such a classic)
- Mad Men
- Breaking Bad (Amazing)
Some shows that I still have on my list to watch that I also heard are amazing are..
- Sons of Anarchy
- House of Cards
- Game of Thrones
If you love the look of beachy waves like I do, then you’ll love this DIY salt water spray. All you have to do is spray it all over on wet/damp hair, and scrunch it through with your hands. I let mine air dry. And there you go, easy beachy waves in minutes. Perfect for an on the go look, or even for a night out. Your pick!
So a couple weeks ago I went on a rant about Entourage. Ever since then I have been watching ‘Shameless”. I was tired of my friends telling me how amazing it is, and raving about it every five seconds so since I was in need of a new one, I decided to give it a try! Well, I must say I am addicted. If you have not seen it yet, I suggest you add this to your list. It is on Showtime, and its about a crazy messed up family, including an alcoholic and drug addict dad, being poor and living in the poor area of Chicago. As depressing as the show may seem, it is a comedy/drama. Some of the situations are laugh out loud funny, while you want to keep watching because you feel so in touch with the characters. Definitely give it a try, it won’t let you down!
Spring has sprung and summer will be here before we know. Ladies, you know what this means.. MANI’S AND PEDI’S ALL THE TIME. If you’re like me, you keep up with your nails all the time. My biggest pet peeve is chipped nail polish, so I make sure to go to the manicurist weekly. As for pedicures, I get them done every two weeks. But since the flowers are blooming, and the weather is nicer, its time to get rid of those dark winter colors, and bring out the pale pinks, whites, pretty blues, and other pastels. I am all about the very pale pink, or more so even white colors on my nails during the spring time. It makes my hands look fresh!
